Norwegian cod farmer Ode has big plans: ‚Our ambition is to expand the capacity, so that in about two or three years we could stock 25 million juveniles and with the same multiplication figures you would have 100,000 tonnes harvest volumes by 2030‘, as the Ode CEO recently bragged [1].

Remember that cod farming turned into a fiasco for some companies years ago. In general, Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) is one of many species, such as salmon and trout, that cannot feel well in captivity due to their nature [2] — so why even try?
